Alte Pinakothek launches Ukrainian audio tours in WebApp
The Alte Pinakothek in Munich has expanded its Ukrainian-language offerings, now available via the 'Alte Pinakothek Unframed' WebApp. Since 2023, the museum has offered guided tours in Ukrainian every Sunday at 10:30 AM, attracting over 3,000 visitors. The new digital tours include highlights of the Alte Pinakothek, the Neue Pinakothek, and a children's audio tour. The launch was celebrated on July 28 with Ukrainian Consul General Yurii Nykytiuk, his wife Liudmyla Nykytiuk, Vice Consul Valeriia Zinchuk, and art mediator Olena Korzun. The translations were provided by the Consulate General of Ukraine, with editing by Korzun. The WebApp is free and accessible worldwide at www.app.pinakothek.de. The Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen, which oversees the Pinakotheken and twelve state galleries across Bavaria, manages over 30,000 objects.
