Altaroma's A.I. Scouting Event Returns to Rome's Ex Dogana

festival-fair · 2026-05-05

The A.I. (Artisanal Intelligence) scouting event returns to Rome during the city's fashion week, held at the Ex Dogana in San Lorenzo. Curated by Clara Tosi Pamphili and Alessio de' Navasques, the event showcases new talents alongside historical pieces, blending fashion, tailoring, art, and contemporary craftsmanship. This year, A.I. produces its first artist's work: an installation by Ophelia Finke, a British-born talent who collaborated with McQ by Alexander McQueen. New debuts include Maria Sole Ferragamo, a daughter of the fashion dynasty, and Manfredi Conti Manara with refined shoes. Other participants: Theodora Bak (capes), Boglarka Bagos (patterns inspired by Cosmatesque floors), Cesare Gatti (cashmere), Haetts (playful hats), and Gergei Erdei (aged fabrics for a contemporary dandy). The event also pays tribute to Italian cinema with a costume worn by Ingrid Bergman in Roberto Rossellini's "Europa '51," designed by Fernanda Gattinoni, who launched her brand in the US that same year.
