Allison Katz's 2009-2010 Exhibition Features Mixed Media Works Including Drapery Inspired by Yves Saint Laurent

Allison Katz presented several works created between 2008 and 2009 at Battat Contemporary. The exhibition included "Chalk Farm" (2009), an oil on canvas measuring 39 by 34 inches. Another piece, "Poires Noires" (2009), combined oil and rayon string on a 66 by 56 inch canvas. "Jelly" (2008) was executed in oil on a 25 by 18 inch canvas. A mixed media installation titled "Drapery, after Yves Saint Laurent's coffin cover" (2009) incorporated cloth, dried wheat, spraypaint, and a table within dimensions of 24 by 60 inches.
