Allen Ruppersberg's 'No Time Left to Start Again' at Air de Paris

exhibition · 2026-04-23

Air de Paris is currently hosting Allen Ruppersberg's second solo exhibition, titled 'No Time Left to Start Again'. This exhibition marks the second part of a five-part installation series, with the first installment previously displayed at Margo Leavin Gallery in Los Angeles. The installation features over a thousand items, such as reproductions of record sleeves, obituaries, and photographs, chronicling the extensive history of rock 'n' roll from the blues of the early 1920s to the 1970s. These artifacts are arranged on walls and floors, utilizing silkscreened panels and cardboard boxes. Ruppersberg's work emphasizes themes of collection and classification, inviting viewers to create their own rock 'n' roll stories. The exhibition also showcases new silkscreens that reflect self-deprecation and nostalgia, alongside two additional pieces: 'Spell for Creating a Familiar' and 'LA in the 70s'. The exhibition is open from October 29 to December 2010.
