A gelatin silver print photograph by Allen Ginsberg depicting poet Gregory Corso's attic room at 9 Rue Gît-le-Coeur in Paris has entered the collection of the National Gallery of Art. The image was taken in 1957 but printed much later, between 1984 and 1997. Gary S. Davis donated the work to the museum. The photograph captures the living space of Corso, a key figure of the Beat Generation, during his time in Paris. The National Gallery of Art now holds this historical document of Beat-era bohemian life. The artwork's copyright is held by Allen Ginsberg LLC.
