The exhibition "All About Theatre About Film," curated by Ivo van Hove and Jan Versweyveld, is on display at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam until January 2022, pending health guidelines. This showcase delves into the portrayal of human connections through twelve distinct rooms featuring "performed audiovisual theatre." Van Hove and Versweyveld, together with Krzysztof Warlikowski and Julien Gosselin, project cinematic visuals onto expansive screens, crafting immersive settings. Actors recreate scenes from films by Duras, Antonioni, Bergman, Cassavetes, Visconti, and Lumet, frequently engaging with the audience through live filming. The exhibition blurs the lines between theatre and cinema, influenced by Richard Schechner's concept of "environmental theatre" and Guy Debord's "Society of the Spectacle." A highlight is the "Antonioni Project" room, culminating in a segment inspired by Sidney Lumet's "Network" (1976).
