Alix Delmas's 'Colorama' Transforms La Chaufferie into a Spectacle of Light and Color
Alix Delmas's exhibition 'Colorama' is showcased at La Chaufferie, Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR) in Strasbourg from June 4 to 27, 2021. Curated by Anne Bertrand, the display presents a unified installation focused on the interplay of color and light. The highlight is 'Bloody Sea' (2017-19), an HD video silently projected onto a tarpaulin. A curved wall features 'Julie et les gélatines' (2005-21), depicting the artist’s daughter with colored gelatin. Across from it, three photographs titled 'Bacchanales' (2008) capture legs at night. The dimly lit gallery showcases colors through 'Cibles #4' (2021), a light projection, while the video 'D106' (2007-21) broadens the color range. A micro-edition with texts by female students is available due to health restrictions.
