Alicia Ponce Launches Latinas in Architecture Vol. III

publication · 2026-04-30

Alicia Ponce, a Chicago-based architect and entrepreneur, has just released the third volume of her anthology, Latinas in Architecture. Since its launch in 2021, this series has highlighted the experiences of Latina women in the field, featuring voices from the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Panama, and Puerto Rico. The latest edition includes contributions from prominent figures like Tatiana Bilbao, who wrote the foreword, and Ana Cecilia Quezada, among others. Ponce, who runs APMonarch, a firm owned by Latinas and women, believes this book is both a reflection of and a push for change in architecture and academia. Volume III is available on Amazon and Arquitina/Books.
