artist · 2026-05-05

Roman street artist Alice Pasquini has completed a new mural titled "Per L’Australia / Passenger" on the wall of the Museo Italiano in Carlton, Melbourne's Italian quarter. The work is her first to depict a story of Italian migration. Measuring ten by seven meters, it took eight consecutive days to complete and was donated to CO.AS.IT, the agency for the welfare and education of the Italo-Australian community in Victoria, founded in 1968. The mural draws inspiration from the collection of the Museo Italiano and documentation from the Italian Historical Society. CEO Giancarlo Martini Piovano called the work "an icon in the center of Carlton." Pasquini's murals can be found in cities including New York, London, Rome, Singapore, and across Russia, Vietnam, the United States, and South America.
