Ali Roche appointed director of LUX
Ali Roche, currently chief curator at Nottingham Contemporary and formerly head of commissions at Spike Island in Bristol, has been appointed director of LUX. LUX, which traces its origins to the 1960s London Film-Makers’ Co-operative, distributes artists’ moving image work and stages exhibitions, screenings, workshops, courses, and talks. The appointment follows the resignation of founding-director Ben Cook in September after 22 years, who is moving to a personal practice as a therapist, coach, and facilitator.
