Alfonso Femia Directs Third Pisa Architecture Biennale on Water

The third Biennale di Architettura di Pisa, named TEMPODACQUA. L’acqua dimensione del tempo, is scheduled to occur from November 21 to December 1, 2019, at the Arsenali Repubblicani. Architect Alfonso Femia, who has been appointed by LP – Laboratorio Permanente per la Qualità Urbana, takes over from Massimo Pica Ciamarra and Luca Molinari alongside Luigi Prestinenza Puglisi. This event showcases fifty designers, such as Alvisi Kirimoto, Stefano Boeri, and Bjarke Ingels, who are addressing a Call for Action regarding the diverse significance of water. Femia highlights the importance of the theme in relation to environmental issues and promotes the concept of 'blue architecture.' Additionally, the Biennale features a Fuoribiennale program in Genoa, Trieste, and Marseille, with Ico Migliore sharing insights from his discussions with Paolo Soleri about the essential nature of water.
