Alfa Romeo Giulia Grand Tour: Renaissance fresco meets luxury car design
Garage Italia, the creative hub founded by Lapo Elkann in Milan, has unveiled the Alfa Romeo Giulia Grand Tour, a special edition car inspired by Renaissance art. The vehicle features a lapis lazuli blue Alcantara interior, referencing the precious pigment used in medieval and Renaissance painting, often associated with the Virgin Mary's mantle. The most striking detail is a reproduction of a fresco by Taddeo and Federico Zuccari depicting Apollo surrounded by the Zodiac, originally located in the Sala Papalina of Castello Odescalchi in Bracciano, Rome. The project is a collaboration with Hertz Italia's Selezione Italia luxury rental collection. Massimiliano Archiapatti, CEO of Hertz Italia, stated that the car represents Italian style creatively and contemporaneously, highlighting the preciousness of lapis lazuli. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Grand Tour is available for rental at Hertz agencies in Rome, Florence, Milan, and Venice.
