Alexandre Bavard's Acid Bleach Exhibition in Milan

Georgian-born artist Alexandre Bavard, known as Mosa (b. 1987), presents his solo exhibition 'Acid Bleach' at Avantgarden Gallery in Milan, concluding his residency. The show features a post-apocalyptic installation with cement on the floor, scattered clothing remnants, objects corroded by toxic substances, and nets resembling lianas and dimensional portals. The series 'Acid Bleach' (literally 'acid bleach') comprises works created through a personal discoloration technique. Paintings on the walls appear as bursts of pure electricity and color, while ready-mades of cement and resin are scattered throughout the room. At first glance, these objects seem liquid and melted, but closer inspection reveals their weight. The strong imaginative power of the works is enhanced by the theatrical staging, which helps visitors immerse themselves in their assigned role. The exhibition evokes themes of loss and resilience after total destruction.
