Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg's First Sculpture Commission Rises at Oxford North

Renowned artist Alexandra Daisy Ginsberg has unveiled her inaugural sculpture commission, named The Length of a Moment, now situated at Canalside Park in Oxford North. This public installation features three soft, cloud-like bronze sculptures, each exceeding two meters in height, adorned in shades of lilac, mint green, and pale dove blue. Rising from the meadow, these forms encapsulate the unseen scent released by flowers, influenced by the movements of moths in search of nectar. This initiative highlights the often-ignored ecological connections between moths and flowers, immortalizing a fleeting moment in bronze. Part of a significant public art project in Oxford, UK, Ginsberg, who merges art with science and technology, has previously examined nature and human impact. The artwork will soon be accessible to the public, enhancing the area's cultural scene.
