Alex Flemming's Apocalypse in São Paulo Ruins
In the heart of São Paulo, Alex Flemming unveils 'Alex Flemming Apocalipse' within the remnants of a historic medical facility, marking his re-entry into the Brazilian art world after spending 34 years in Berlin. Curated by Fábio Magalhães, this exhibition showcases 30 new and recent pieces and kicks off the visual arts initiative at Palacetes da Sé, a venue established by Ramos de Azevedo in 1919. The site, which has remained unused for over 85 years, is undergoing revitalization while retaining its signs of decay. Divided into 'Apocalipse' and 'Retratos Invisíveis', the exhibition explores themes of war, memory, death, and permanence. It is free to the public and will be available until August 30 at Rua Roberto Simonsen, 97.
