Alex Braga Launches Forward Performance Series at Contemporary Cluster in Rome

exhibition · 2026-05-04

Alex Braga, born in Novara in 1976, has conceived Forward, a live project cycle merging music and video art at Contemporary Cluster in Rome. The first event took place on November 24, 2018, featuring a live performance by Braga with original electronic music and a video produced by Berlin-based 3D artist and designer Extraweg, whose work is redefining graphic design rules. Braga, a musician, composer, and contemporary artist focused on new technology experimentation, stated: "The future is what yesterday we called tomorrow, but which we begin to build today, with ideas, with emotions, with a gaze toward the beyond. Forward brings together the best artists working with technology who, through their visions, suggest an idea of the future. Each event will feature a collaboration of two or more artists creating a unique, ad hoc performance, which is then fixed in an artwork exhibited for the following month at Contemporary Cluster." The series aims to fuse arts through live performances that become permanent installations.
