Alessia Zampieri's Ethnographic Short Film on Brenta River Teens

cultural-heritage · 2026-04-26

Alessia Zampieri, a filmmaker and PhD candidate in Cultural and Social Anthropology at the University of Milan-Bicocca, is leading a participatory workshop on Lake Camazzole as part of the Lab Village project. The project, funded by the Pnrr and promoted by Ca' Foscari University of Venice, aims to develop sustainable cultural tourism models in northeastern Italy. Zampieri's workshop involves local adolescents from Carmignano di Brenta, using an iPhone to film an ethnographic short film exploring their spontaneous relationship with the Brenta River and Lake Camazzole. The workshop runs until September 2025 and emphasizes co-creation, sensory anthropology, and the cultural value of water. The Lab Village project includes nine labs across three themes—Mountain, Outdoor, and City—with the outdoor focus on water landscapes. A final event is planned for late October 2025 at Villa Argan in Vicenza to share results and plan concrete actions. Maurizio Busacca is the project coordinator.
