Alessandro Rabottini Leads New In Between Art Film Foundation in Rome

Alessandro Rabottini, the previous director of miart, has been named the artistic director of the newly formed Fondazione In Between Art Film in Rome, which was established by Beatrice Bulgari, the foundation's president. This initiative stems from the film production company In Between Art Film, operational since 2012. Rabottini will collaborate with curators Leonardo Bigazzi and Paola Ugolini, along with project manager Alessia Carlino. The group had previously worked together on 'Mascarilla 19 – Codes of Domestic Violence,' an eight-film series focused on domestic violence during the lockdown, which debuted at MAXXI in October 2020. The foundation's mission is to promote interdisciplinary dialogue and assist moving-image artists through various commissions and partnerships. Over its eight years, In Between Art Film has supported numerous artists, including Yuri Ancarani, Vanessa Beecroft, and Shirin Neshat, and has collaborated with notable institutions like the Venice Biennale and Tate Modern.
