Alessandro Preziosi stars in docufilm on Verona's Futurist urban vision

Alessandro Preziosi plays a photographer and architecture researcher in 'La Città Macchina – Verona 900', a docufilm directed by Dario Biello that explores the Futurist city concept. The film blends fiction, archival footage, and interviews, tracing ideas from Antonio Sant'Elia and Umberto Boccioni. Monica Marangoni co-stars as a mysterious woman driving a 1927 Lancia Lambada Siluro, referencing Tamara de Lempicka's self-portrait. Produced by Filmedea (Diego Biello) in collaboration with Luce Cinecittà, it premiered at the 2024 Rome Film Festival. A screening at CityLife Anteo in Milan on December 17, 2024, will be followed by a panel with the director, producer, architect Alfonso Femia, journalist Stefano Casciani, Barbara Bogoni (Politecnico di Milano), and Franco Bocca Gelsi (CNA Industria Cinema Lombardia). An exhibition of original film materials accompanies the screening. This is the second episode of 'Italia Novecento', a cross-media project presented at the 80th Venice International Film Festival and Salone del Mobile in Milan. The series aims to map 20th-century heritage through docufilms, geolocated itineraries, multimedia exhibitions, and immersive videomapping, promoting social and cultural regeneration.
