Alessandro Pardossi opens Terzo Piano gallery in Lucca home
Alessandro Pardossi has transformed his 300-square-meter historic home in central Lucca into Terzo Piano Arte Contemporanea, a hybrid space serving as both his residence and an artist residency. The project first took shape in Berlin with the Feurig 59 space. Pardossi is supported by an associative board of enthusiasts and works with curators: Simone Frangi curated Laëtitia Badaut Haussmann's project in Milan and Lucca two years ago, while Alessandra Poggianti oversees the 2018 program. A public program across the city is planned, with collaborations including the French association Le Mètre Carré, directed by Emmanuelle Potier. Upcoming residencies feature French artists Cristina Escobar and Delphine Gatinois, focusing on immigration. A partnership with Fondazione Banca del Monte is being defined. The space will host Thingness, a residency program curated by Alessandra Poggianti throughout 2018.
