Alessandro Di Giampietro and Sergio Limonta Open Fall Season at Casa degli Artisti
The autumn exhibition season at Casa degli Artisti in Milan begins with individual showcases from artists Alessandro Di Giampietro and Sergio Limonta, both born in 1972. Di Giampietro's exhibition, titled "The Nowness of the Everyday," features large sewn sails that manipulate light and color, a concept inspired by an invitation from Lorenzo Vatalaro in September 2021 after he encountered Di Giampietro's work in Lisbon. Accompanying this display is a critical text by Rita Selvaggio. Meanwhile, Limonta's installations utilize industrial materials to investigate geometry and light. He refined his exhibition during a two-week residency after winning the first edition of the STUDIO PRODUZIONE call. Limonta references Kounellis, Steinbach, Beuys, and Merz, asserting that the readymade concept existed before Duchamp. Both exhibitions are on view simultaneously.
