Alessandro Bollo appointed new director of Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento in Turin
Alessandro Bollo, who co-founded the Fondazione Fitzcarraldo, has been named the new director of the Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento in Turin, with his term commencing in 2024 and lasting four years. In just his initial three months, visitor numbers surged to 36,000, up from 31,000 the previous year. Together with president Luisa Papotti, Bollo envisions a vibrant, research-focused museum incorporating technological advancements, such as AI interfaces and an augmented reality guide set to debut in October. The museum, which finances 70% of its operations independently, will host a special opening for the Parlamento Subalpino from May 5 to June 2, an exhibition titled "Rileggere il Risorgimento" in mid-October, and a showcase for "Torino Capitale della cultura d'impresa 2024" beginning April 13.
