Alessandro Benetton's 21Art Expands to Montecarlo with Spring 2026 Exhibitions and Art Clubs

institutional · 2026-04-21

Founded by Alessandro Benetton on entrepreneur Davide Vanin's concept, 21Art will soon operate four galleries. Existing locations in Rome, Padua, and Treviso will be joined by a Montecarlo outpost this spring, marking its international expansion. Further openings in Milan, Cortina, and Jesolo are planned for 2027. The organization's 2026 programming began on April 16 in Treviso with 'Mario Ceroli: l’ultima Utopia. Ceneri e germogli, cronache dal Presente,' curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi. This exhibition features a total installation using evocative colors and symbolic objects. A solo show by Ahmet Güneştekin, curated by Sergio Risaliti and titled 'Testimoni del tempo,' opens in Rome on April 30, exploring collective memory. The upcoming Montecarlo gallery will debut with 'Jan Fabre. Allegory of caritas (an act of love),' presenting 50 works. Central to 21Art's mission are its 21 Art Clubs, which originated in Treviso. These clubs gather local artists, collectors, and art professionals to foster dialogue and provide sustained support for artists. Vanin explained the clubs aim to lower barriers to art collecting by creating a welcoming community, not for speculative purposes but to cultivate knowledge. Monthly 'Salotti' meetings feature prominent cultural figures. In 2025, 21Art launched a dedicated iOS and Android app for updates and exclusive member services.
