Alessandro Baricco directs Palamede at Teatro Olimpico for Sky Arte

On August 4, 2017, Sky Arte HD will broadcast Palamede, l'eroe cancellato, a theatrical piece directed by Alessandro Baricco. The play focuses on Palamede, a legendary Greek hero of the Trojan War, mythologically credited with inventing writing and chess. Betrayed by Odysseus, who fabricated evidence of treason, Palamede was executed and his name erased from official memory, even omitted by Homer. The performance features Michele Di Mauro recounting Palamede's deeds and Valeria Solarino delivering his defense speech. It takes place at the Palladian Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, with original music by Nicola Tescari, lighting and sets by Roberto Tarasco, and costumes by Giovanna Buzzi.
