Alessandra Racca's Poetry Collection on Motherhood

Alessandra Racca released 'Di pancia (e altri organi vitali)' on May 3, 2024, with Interno Poesia. The collection explores motherhood and other intimate themes through verse. Racca, born in Turin in 1979, has previously published works including 'Poesie Antirughe' (2011), 'L’amore non si cura con la citrosodina' (2013), 'Consigli di volo per bipedi pesanti' (2016), and 'Nostra signora dei calzini, deluxe' (2018), all with Neo. Edizioni. She also collaborated on a workshop with Scuola Holden. The book originated from a conversation with publisher Andrea Cati during a poetry workshop. Racca discusses her use of irony and humor in both life and writing, and cites influences such as Lalla Romano's 'Le parole fra noi leggere', Laura Liberale's 'Sari – poesie per la figlia', Maria Moresco's 'Sale grosso', and Gabriel Del Sarto's 'Sonetti bianchi'. She has been active in curating and performing poetry events in Turin.
