Alejandro Monge's 'Synthetic Future' at LA BIBI Gallery, Palma de Mallorca

LA BIBI Gallery in Palma de Mallorca presents 'Synthetic Future', a solo exhibition by Alejandro Monge running from 6 June to 7 September 2026. Curated by María García Marqués and Ester Almeda (Me Creative Strategies), the show continues Monge's 'Synthetic Nature' series, previously shown at IAACC Pablo Serrano in Zaragoza. The exhibition features grey resin and cement sculptures that explore hyperconnectivity, isolation, and the blurring of boundaries between body and technology. Key works include 'The Grey Orchid', depicting a figure absorbed in a device displaying a still life, and 'The Last Nomad', a figure seated on a stationary motorcycle. 'The Inverse Shapes' series extends into the garden with stone-carved androgynous faces. Monge's practice references Spanish sculptural traditions of Juan Muñoz and Jaume Plensa, shifting focus to contemporary technological mediation.
