Alejandro Mañas García and javi moreno Win Biodivers IV Competition

The City Council of Carrícola (Valencia) has revealed that Alejandro Mañas García (born in Castellón, 1985) and javi moreno (born in Sant Joan d’Alacant, 1982) are the recipients of the Biodivers IV award, which aims to enhance the open-air sculpture museum. Mañas García's piece, titled 'Capilla abierta al cielo,' showcases an iron chair adorned with a Latin cross and a flame, symbolizing both Saint John of the Cross and ecological consciousness. Meanwhile, javi moreno’s mural, 'Via Pastoris. Encantades de Carrícola,' is inspired by European folklore and delves into an onto-epistemology involving the Roman deity Faunus. The unveiling of these works is scheduled for May 9, 2026, at 19:00, followed by a discussion led by Leticia Fayos Bosch. Biodivers is an initiative backed by the Diputación de Valencia.
