Aldo Loris Rossi's architectural park in Irpinia stalled by missing provincial signature
Nearly a year after its unveiling on May 10, 2025, the Bisaccia Nuova (AV) architectural park is still pending approval, as it awaits the signature from the Province of Avellino on a memorandum of understanding. While the Bisaccia municipality has given its consent, provincial endorsement is crucial for this park, which would be Campania's first and Italy's second architectural park, designed by Aldo Loris Rossi (1933-2018). Architects Silvana Feleppa and Amerigo Quagliano are also part of the project. Established following the 1980 earthquake, the site showcases Rossi's designs inspired by Wrightian geometric principles. Recent highlights include a March 2022 Domus article, the "Il Resto di Niente" exhibition (May 30–September 16, 2024), and "La costruzione dell’Utopia" (October 11–30, 2024). The project remains halted due to the lack of provincial approval.
