Aldo Giannotti's participatory performance for Giovanni Truppi's new EP at MAMbo

artist · 2026-04-27

On March 4, 2023, artist Aldo Giannotti (Genoa, 1977) launched a participatory performance at MAMbo – Museo d'Arte Moderna di Bologna, inviting the public to contribute drawings, writings, and thoughts on a white wall in the museum's foyer. The collective work is inspired by the title of Giovanni Truppi's upcoming EP, 'Infinite possibilità per essere finiti' (Infinite Possibilities for Being Finished), set for spring release on Virgin Music. The performance runs from 10:00 AM on March 4, with opportunities for participation in subsequent days. That same day at 4:00 PM, a special guided tour of the museum's permanent collection will be led by Truppi, Giannotti, and MAMbo director Lorenzo Balbi. The event continues the artistic collaboration between Truppi and Giannotti, who previously worked on covers and videos for songs 'Alcune Considerazioni' and 'La felicità', as well as the platform infinitepossibilita.com. Additionally, 'Infinite possibilità per essere finiti' is the name of a seven-date tour organized by Ponderosa Music & Arts, where Truppi will present his new project alongside Marco Buccelli, reimagined as a theatrical experience with shadow theater company Unterwasser (winner of the 2022 ANCT Critics' Prize). The tour begins April 1 at Teatro del Parco in Mestre, Venice, continuing to Milan, Prato, Turin, Bologna, Naples, and Rome.
