Albrecht Dürer's Remondini Collection on View at Bassano del Grappa

exhibition · 2026-05-04

The exhibition 'Albrecht Dürer. La collezione Remondini' at Palazzo Sturm in Bassano del Grappa presents 214 masterpieces from the Remondini family collection, including 91 engravings and 123 woodcuts by Dürer. Curated by Chiara Casarin, the show features a dialogue with contemporary artist Li-Jen Shin, whose stainless steel sculpture 'King Kong Rhino' (2011) references Dürer's famous 1515 woodcut of a rhinoceros. The exhibition also includes works by Martin Schongauer, Mantegna, Titian, and Rembrandt. A high-resolution documentary, 'Impressions of Albrecht Dürer' (2019) by Factum Arte, explores historical and modern printmaking techniques. The show runs at the recently restored Palazzo Sturm, home of the Museo dell'incisione Remondini.
