Alberto Peola Gallery in Turin Becomes Galleria Peola Simondi
In 2020, the Alberto Peola gallery in Turin, which marked its 30th anniversary in 2019, will be rebranded as Peola Simondi. Francesca Simondi, who has served as a gallery assistant for almost four years, will become a co-partner in a 50/50 collective partnership. Alberto Peola remarked that the lockdown in 2020 led to significant contemplation regarding the gallery's direction. Born in 1983 and educated at the Accademia Albertina di Torino, Simondi embodies a fresh generation of artists. The gallery is set to officially debut in September 2020, participating in Ouverture – Torino Art Galleries from September 23-25, showcasing Gregorio Botta, and plans to host a solo exhibition of Giuseppe Mulas at Artissima. This partnership signifies a 'year zero' for the gallery, with aspirations to feature more international artists.
