Alberto Agosti's Diffused Exhibition Invades Milanese Shops

Alberto Agosti (born 1997, Piacenza) launches 'Alagos', a four-part diffused intervention across unconventional Milanese venues, each curated by a different figure. The project aims to subvert stereotyped Northern Italian provincial aesthetics by transforming everyday places into provocative, alien artworks. The first event is on September 16, 2024, from 18:30 to 20:30 at Dario Cerquoni Elettrauto per hobby (Via Giovanni De Alessandri 11, Milan), curated by Nicolas Ballario. Subsequent appointments occur weekly: September 23 at Antica Farmacia Diana (Piazza Guglielmo Oberdan 4), September 30 at Onoranze Funebri Turati (Via Riccardo Bauer 19), and October 7 at Antica Barberia Colla (Via Gerolamo Morone 3). Ballario describes the auto repair shop as both a symbol of Milan and an outpost of humanity against the flatness of the contemporary art world, noting that the space itself is the artwork, evoking a secret passage from Pasolini's 'Il fiore delle Mille e una notte'. Agosti aims to stimulate reflection on tradition and innovation, urging viewers to reconsider familiar aspects of daily life.
