Alberta Pane opens new gallery in Venice

exhibition · 2026-05-05

Alberta Pane has inaugurated a new gallery space in Venice, expanding from her Paris location in the Marais. The gallery, located in a former carpentry workshop that once produced furniture for the French Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, is currently a work in progress. The inaugural exhibition, "Le Désir" by Marcos Lutyens, opens on May 12. Pane plans to launch Edizioni Alberta Pane in collaboration with Multiplo of Padua, and will present two solo shows by new artists later in the year. She aims to attract both local Venetians and international audiences, leveraging the presence of the Biennale. The gallery team includes curators Daniele Capra, Marie Frampier, Léa Bismuth, and Chiara Ianeselli.
