Alberta Cuccia's photographs featured at STUDIO4 in Palermo's Le Cattive

The STUDIO4 project, curated by Stefania Pia, returns to Le Cattive restaurant in Palermo on April 17, 2019, featuring photographer Alberta Cuccia. STUDIO4 is a series of evenings combining music and visual arts, where Pia's DJ set accompanies the exhibition of a different artist each time. The event takes place at Le Cattive, a cultural wine bar within Palazzo Butera, home to the Francesca & Massimo Valsecchi Collection. Pia, an artist originally from Bassano del Grappa who moved to New York in 2007, founded the creative lab 4EYESlab and has collaborated with Vogue Italia Online since 2010. She started STUDIO4 in Palermo after summer 2018, focusing on emerging photographers and videomakers. Previous participants include Eleonora Orlando, Valentino Bianchi, and Desideria Burgio. Alberta Cuccia, a photographer originally from Rome and Milan who relocated to Palermo, will present a series of ethereal images shot in both analog and digital, depicting seascapes, skies, and clouds. Her work explores abstraction, the passage of time, and silence, inspired by a poem by Sandro Penna. Cuccia previously worked as a photo editor for Rolling Stone for four years and recently shot a campaign for fashion brand C'est la V. The event is free and open to the public.
