Alberonero's Panorama Imaginaire at Planches Contact 2023
Luca Boffi, known as Alberonero, presents Panorama Imaginaire at the 14th edition of Planches Contact festival in Deauville, running until January 7, 2024. The installation combines photographs printed on semi-transparent fabrics that change with weather and light, objects donated by Trouville fishermen (buoys, nets, chains), and poetic texts on benches. The structure uses innocent tubes, evoking a brutalist aesthetic contrasted with dreamlike imagery. Boffi, who works as a farmhand in the Bassa Lodigiana, integrates his agricultural experience into his art, emphasizing a connection to the ordinary landscape. His book Caro Campo, winner of the Italian Council IX edition, explores his year-long coexistence with a poplar grove. The festival, directed by Laura Serani since 2019 and coordinated by Camille Binelli, features 25 exhibitions by international artists in residence.
