Alba Cappellieri Named Italian Design Ambassador, Presents in Osaka

Alba Cappellieri, who serves as a professor at Politecnico di Milano and heads the Museo del Gioiello, has been selected as one of the 100 ambassadors of Italian design by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Triennale di Milano. On March 2, she showcased her work at the Italian embassy located in Osaka, Japan. As the president of the Women Jewellery Association Italy, Cappellieri emphasizes the significance of jewelry design within the realm of Italian design excellence. Initially studying architecture, she transitioned to jewelry at Politecnico di Milano. Inspired by figures such as Gijs Bakker and Riccardo Dalisi, she acknowledges the innovative contributions of Van Cleef & Arpels and Cartier, while also exploring the future of jewelry in digital technology and virtual platforms, with a focus on her students.
