Singer Alanis Morissette is selling her Ottawa apartment, designed by Métis artist Ross Rheaume, for €680,000 through Engel & Völkers. The 172-square-meter unit on Sussex Drive features Rheaume's blend of Eastern and modern Western architectural influences. Rheaume, born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, moved to Ottawa in 1963 when his father became the first Indigenous member of Parliament for the Northwest Territories. He formed a dance band with schoolmate David Grey in 1980, toured for a decade, then returned to painting and worked as a design consultant for a museum in Saudi Arabia. In 2001, he designed Morissette's interiors.
