Alan Moore's poetry collection 'Lo specchio dell'amore' reissued by Feltrinelli Comics

publication · 2026-04-27

Feltrinelli Comics will release a new edition of Alan Moore's poetry collection 'Lo specchio dell'amore' on February 6, 2020. Originally published in 1988 as part of the anthology AARGH! (Artists Against Rampant Government Homophobia), which protested the UK's anti-gay Section 28 law, the book features 130 pages of verse exploring desire, love, patriarchy, politics, and LGBT struggles. The new edition replaces original illustrations by Steve Bissette and Rick Veitch with photographs by José Villarrubia. A preface by Robert Rodi, who reviewed the original in The Comics Journal #126, is included. The collection traces a poetic lineage from Sappho to Shakespeare to playwright Joe Orton. Published by Mad Love Publishing in 1988, the work is now presented independently of the original anthology. The volume costs €20 and has 136 pages.
