Alan Holly's Animated Short 'Coda' Explores Life and Death
Irish director Alan Holly, working with the studio And Maps And Plans, created the animated short film 'Coda,' which was nominated for an Oscar in 2015. The film begins with a man's accidental death outside a nightclub, struck by a car while drunk. As a restless ghost, he embarks on a lyrical and surreal philosophical journey about the meaning of existence. Color plays a crucial role in setting the mood, as Holly noted in an interview with Skwigly: 'Color is fundamental for setting the mood and communicating certain sensations. The chromatic element influences us in a very subtle way and at the same time gives us great pleasure.' The film has won multiple awards.
