Alain Veinstein Returns to Painting with Second Exhibition at Galerie La Forest Divonne

exhibition · 2026-04-24

From February 13 to March 14, 2020, Galerie La Forest Divonne in Paris will showcase the latest paintings by Alain Veinstein, a poet, writer, and radio producer. After his departure from France Culture in 2014, where he had hosted shows for more than forty years, Veinstein returned to the canvas. This marks his second display at the gallery. Previously, he had set aside painting due to limitations in materials and the struggle between abstraction and figuration. Curated by Olivier Kaeppelin, the exhibition includes both large pieces and smaller canvases (10 x 15 cm) that portray mountainous landscapes, drawing inspiration from his travels to Japan and India, and hinting at emotional and erotic themes through essential forms and colors.
