Aina Albo Puigserver's 'Intersticios' at Es Baluard Museu Explores Light and Time

Balearic artist Aina Albo Puigserver presents 'Intersticios. Donde el sol dibuja el tiempo' at Es Baluard Museu in Palma, curated by Sofia Moisés Pizà. The exhibition runs from May 22 to September 20, 2026. Albo's work combines sculpture and painting on wood, using basic landscape forms (slopes, pyramidal peaks, horizons) and geometry of light and atmospheric phenomena. She employs superimposed glazes and gradients for depth, contrasting diluted colors with lacquered lines and collage materials like cardboard, marquetry, earth, and ash. Her sculptures use recycled wood, glass, and stone to suggest transparency and solidity. The exhibition's central concept is the analemma—the figure-eight curve tracing the sun's yearly path—as a metaphor for measuring and writing time. Each piece serves as an orientation point in an abstract, interior map. Albo has previously exhibited at Museo Francisco Sobrino de Guadalajara, Pep Llabrés Art Contemporani, and Peruvian galleries Impakto and Now: Gallery. She also participated in the revived Art Cologne Palma.
