Aimee Harrison and Lucía Sanromán to Co-Curate 2027 Liverpool Biennial

The 14th Liverpool Biennial is scheduled for June 5 to September 12, 2027, with Aimee Harrison and Lucía Sanromán as co-curators. Aimee, a Liverpool local, has a background as the learning coordinator at FACT Liverpool and worked with youth at Heart of Glass in St Helens. Since 2019, she’s been focused on community initiatives for the Biennial, engaging with diverse groups like children, seniors, and migrants. Lucía, who is the chief curator at MUAC in Mexico City, has led significant roles, including directing Laboratorio de Arte Alameda. Her work emphasizes social engagement, feminist perspectives, and indigenous practices. Samantha Lackey, the Biennial’s director, highlighted that this collaboration enhances learning by blending local and international insights. Artists will be announced in 2025.
