AI4FUTURE Exhibition at MEET Explores AI, Data, and Mobility

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The exhibition AI4FUTURE, hosted at MEET Digital Culture Center in Milan, presents a multifaceted exploration of artificial intelligence through the collaboration of artists and activists. Organized by Sineglossa, the project aims to foster awareness around data usage, specifically focusing on the relationship between data and mobility. Participants, including activists A Foras, Exo, and Canodròm, along with Fondo Ambiente Italiano and The slow reading book, worked together for a year in Urban Labs across various territorial contexts. Artist Nino Basilashvili created 'Moving forward,' an installation that detects audience presence and absence, displaying their impact on a wall screen; viewers become fish or flamingos, symbols for A Foras of lost freedom due to military and technological control in Sardinia. Other works include 'Divide' by Bernat Cunì for Esprocenda in Barcelona, 'Rosetta Mission 2022' by Luca Pozzi for MEET, and 'Being a Cat, Being a Fish, Being a Dog' by Chunju Yu at V2_ Lab for the Unstable Media in Rotterdam. During the inaugural talk, professor Stefano Quintarelli explained that AI relies on statistical models providing probabilistic predictions based on collected data, which may not always hold true. Artists and activists focused on the 'non-included' exceptions that escape big data logic, applying ethical sensitivity to their work.
