According to Inc., at a party, seven people opted for the tattoo, which led to mostly negative press. CEO Jordan Zietz later reflected on this, admitting he made a mistake and got a bit too enthusiastic. He mentioned on LinkedIn that their team works every day, causing several applicants to back out due to the demanding schedule. Zietz humorously noted that they often work late, even watching movies like Pitch Perfect at 1 a.m. on Saturdays. He values friendship in the workplace, emphasizing that hiring is about finding people they enjoy being around since, as he puts it, “changing the world is easier with friends.” This situation highlights the intense work culture in some AI startups and their unconventional ways of attracting talent.
