Agostino Iacurci Wins 2024 Ermanno Casoli Prize
Agostino Iacurci, born in Foggia in 1986, has been awarded the 22nd Premio Ermanno Casoli, a contemporary art prize from the Fondazione Ermanno Casoli, which was founded in 2007. The artist is set to create a site-specific installation at Elica's facilities, engaging employees in the artistic process. After Elica's acquisition of the Airforce plant in Cerreto D'Esi, Iacurci was invited in May to develop a project focusing on themes of belonging. This initiative seeks to convert a transit area into a space conducive to relaxation and social interaction. Marcello Smarrelli, the artistic director, commended Iacurci's approach and collaborative spirit. Iacurci conveyed his appreciation for the award and the opportunity to involve approximately one hundred employees, aspiring for shared growth through the endeavor.
