Agostino Iacurci's Arcipelago Botanico Blooms in Portrait Milano's Courtyard

This summer, the Portrait Milano hotel, situated near the Fashion District, hosts the art installation Arcipelago Botanico in its courtyard. This exhibit showcases eight sculptures by Italian artist Agostino Iacurci, commissioned specifically for this location, and stands out against the gray walls of the 16th-century seminary. Drawing inspiration from traditional courtyard gardens, Iacurci's works harmonize with the surrounding camphor trees and magnolias. The Ferragamo family transformed the property, leased from the Archdiocese of Milan, into a luxurious five-star hotel with architects Michele De Lucchi and Michele Bonan, resulting in the 30,200-square-foot Piazza del Quadrilatero. Visitors can enjoy the installation until August 31, 2026, along with access to the hotel's restaurant 10_11 and artisanal granitas.
