Agorà Design Festival 2025: 'Il progetto necessario' a Martano

The Agorà Design festival of 2025 took place in Martano, Italy, from October 3 to 5, under the theme 'Il progetto necessario' (The Necessary Project). Set in the historic Aragonese castle, the event featured exhibitions, competitions, discussions, and workshops, with renowned designers such as Giulio Iacchetti and Francesco Faccin participating. Lucia Rescio, the general manager of Sprech, explained that the theme was intended to promote essential design in a world of excess. Jury member Iacchetti emphasized the significance of respectful design. Approximately 80 finalists competed, with notable winners including Marta Doberti's 'Gabbiano' (Living category), Patrizia Bertolini's 'Tiratisù' (second place), and Aldo Mucciarone's 'Salice' (Garden/Outdoor category). The new 'Agorà Off' program will continue until October 24, offering a variety of cultural events.
