Agent Team Work Zone: Persistent Workspace for LLM Coding Teams
A new paper on arXiv (2607.22917) introduces Agent Team Work Zone, an automated persistent workspace for long-lived coding agent teams. The system addresses four key drawbacks of current LLM coding agents like Claude Code: irrecoverable agent teams where working state is lost on termination; compaction that erodes working detail; agentic technical debt from trapped decisions in compacted chats; and heavy prompt writing for task handoffs. The proposed workspace enables automated state persistence and resumption, aiming to improve long-term agentic workflows.
