Agata Jarosławiec's 'We Speak in Echoes' at Fundacja Galerii Piana, Kraków

Agata Jarosławiec's solo exhibition 'We Speak in Echoes' runs from 28 March to 9 May 2026 at Fundacja Galerii Piana in Kraków, Poland. The show explores non-verbal knowledge transmission through craft, silicone, and video. On the ground floor, a figure seated on a vintage accordion wears linen and a crocheted balaclava, holding a grey silicone fragment. A suspended garment combines silicone, crochet, and folk embroidery. Upstairs, a triptych features two video screens flanking a textile banner with silicone face-casts and a red crocheted rose; one video shows hands working dark materials, the other a historical Polish religious painting with the subtitle 'Your neck is beautiful like the Tower of David.' A hanging mesh of grey silicone pieces includes one gold form, symbolizing cultural assimilation. Jarosławiec treats the gallery's architecture—white-tiled floors and a pink staircase—as a hortus conclusus, questioning visibility and labor recognition.
