Aga Khan Award for Architecture 2019: Six Winners Announced

The Aga Khan Award for Architecture has revealed its six recipients for 2019, honoring outstanding projects in architecture, planning, conservation, and landscaping, particularly benefiting communities with a notable Muslim demographic. The selection committee, headed by Farrokh Derakhshani, sifted through 380 submissions to arrive at the final six. Among the jury members was David Chipperfield, among others. The total award amount is set at one million dollars. A monograph, "Architecture in Dialogue," curated by Andres Lepik, showcases the 20 projects that were shortlisted.
